WhatsApp is a popular free messaging application used by millions of people around the world to connect with contacts around the world.
Recently, dark mode became a hot topic, and several applications seemed to match the new configuration of the entire Android 10 system. The selection of a black or dark gray background on the AMOLED screen saves more battery than a white background. Hence, most applications offer users the option of choosing a black or white theme. Therefore WhatsApp is configured to provide an interface called dark mode.
However, this dark mode feature was never found on end user devices. As a result, many speculated that the application had abandoned the idea of moving from a dazzling white theme.
Whatsapp Theme settings
Currently, the beta version of WhatsApp of Android v2.19.282 continues to work on the dark theme feature of the application.
In this new feature it includes three options they are the White theme, dark theme and system default
- White Theme: Familiars theme which is Currently used in the WhatsApp.
- Dark theme: This is the upcoming WhatsApp dark theme option
- System Default: WhatsApp identifies the theme (white or dark) used in the Android system and automatically configures it in WhatsApp.
The dark mode of WhatsApp is also based on dark blue tones, not pure black, to meet most needs.
However, the application needs to adjust some elements of the theme, such as the color of the text in the yellow bubble, in order to reproduce the theme.
In the dark mode, a new section is added in the application settings menu called “Theme settings”. The dark mode of WhatsApp has not yet officially launched. But you can enable this feature in another way.
